The System
The mailing system in Imperius is a simple way of sending messages to other players without the need of OOC alternatives like Discord or Forums PM's.
Want to contact someone and you have no idea if they are around or when they will be? Send them a nice letter!
How does it work
1 - First thing you will need is an address book where you can keep all your contacts. Find the postmaster and buy one of find a scribe that can make you one.
2 - Be sure to fill that book with Scrolls and Bee Wax since they are used to write new messages. Once again you can buy them from the Postmaster or you can get bee wax from farmers and scrolls from scribes.
3 - Now you need people to mail. To add them to your address book, you must be close to them, click on “Add Contact” and target the desired person.
Their name will now be in the “Entries” and you will be able to mail them.
4 - Once you click the button next to the person you wish to mail, a letter will pop up for you to write your message.
5 - After you click send a rolled letter will show up in your backpack with the information about the message. You can double click to review the message too.
6 - To send the letter just find a Postbox and drop it in.
7 - The recipient of the letter will recieve a warning that a bird dropped a letter and it will be placed in their backpack. The emote can be seen by everyone (since everyone around would see the bird).
NOTE: In case the recipient isn't online, the letter will be in their backpack once they log in.
